Toulà
is located at the top of the South Tower, on the 38th floor,
of The Westin Harbour Castle hotel. With months of extensive
renovations, a first-class menu and wine pairings, and a reputation
for excellence, Toulà has positioned itself to be a
premiere culinary destination in North America.
The
first Toulà opened in Treviso, Italy in 1961. Sine
then, the restaurant collection has expanded to a dozen locations
around the world; Toronto will be the thirteenth. With recent
opening in Helsinki, Kuala Lumpur and the re-opening of Milan's
historic Biffi Scala as Biffi Scala e Toulà
in 1995, Toulà has developed a global presence. The
key elements of Toulà's success are its adherence to
the culinary traditions of Italy's 21 different regions and
its emphasis on warm, elegant and unique settings. The name
Toulà, meaning "hay loft" in Italian, was
established in 1962, when the owner, Mr. Filippini, opened
his second restaurant in a converted hay barn in Cortina d'Ampezzo,
Italy.
The
Westin Harbour Castle, located on the shores of scenic Lake
Ontario, offers 980 deluxe guestrooms and suits and provides
the ultimate in luxury and comfort to the business and leisure
traveler. Westin Hotels & Resorts, with more than 115
hotels and resorts in 23 countries, is owned by Starwood Hotels
& Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT). Starwood is one
of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world with
more than 725 properties in 80 countries and 120,000 employees
at its owned and managed properties.
